District of Central Saanich. The FLT Society has a signed license agreement with the District of Central Saanich for the stewardship of the historic Newman Farm in Saanichton, BC.

Our Place Society. The FLT Society leads the “field to plate” initiative at the historic Newman Farm in Central Saanich whereby we grow, harvest, and donate fresh local produce to those in need at Our Place Society.

Sea Cider Farm & Ciderhouse. As a neighbour to the historic Newman Farm, Sea Cider Farm & Ciderhouse is a proud supporter of the FLT Society. Sea Cider is a family-owned, community-minded orchard and ciderhouse.

Peninsula & Area Agricultural Commission (PAAC). The FLT Society collaborates with PAAC on pollination activities on the Saanich Peninsula and supports their discussions on farming issues such as drainage and agricultural water rates.

CR-FAIR and Good Food Network. The FLT Society is a recipient of donated fruit trees and shrubs.

Also, the FLT Society supports the Good Food 2025 Strategy.

City Scribe. Laurel and her team provide the FLT Society with various printing services and stationary supplies that support our charity’s farmland preservation and local food security protection initiatives.

Integrity Sales and Distributors. The FLT Society accesses various equipment and farm supplies from Dwight and his Integrity Sales team which support our bee-friendly farming practices and “field to plate” initiative at Newman Farm.

Arbutus Grove Nursery. Arbutus Grove Nursery’s donation of peat moss aids us in preparing and maintaining our raised garden bed program for optimal growth of fresh local produce at the historic Newman Farm.

Kael Markle Landscaping. Kael provides value-added orchard and blackberry maintenance at the historic Newman Farm.

 

 Tsawout First Nation. The FLT Society has a signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tsawout First Nation that recognizes the mutual respect and interest of bringing together both First Nations and Western approaches to food security on the Saanich Peninsula.

Victoria Therapeutic Riding Association. As part of the equine therapy at VTRA, the FLT Society donates feeding apples to strengthen the therapeutic relationship and bonding between the riders and their horses.

Island Pollinator Initiative. The FLT Society is a member of the Island Pollinator Initiative (@IslandPollinatorInitiative). The Initiative facilitates collaboration, event and information sharing, outreach and action to promote the protection of native and managed pollinators on Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands.

PBX Engineering. PBX Engineering staff in Victoria, BC volunteer their time assisting with various farming activities at Newman Farm.

Bartlett Tree Experts. As part of “Operation Apple Tree”, Bartlett Tree Experts in collaboration with the FLT Society and the District of Central Saanich rejuvenated the Newman Farm fruit orchard - providing additional food sources for individuals and families in need in Greater Victoria.

Farm to Garden Organics. In support of the FLT Society’s “field to plate” initiative, Farm to Garden Organics (formerly Stanhope Organics) provides complimentary organic compost to enhance nutrients and improve soil performance in our raised garden beds.

Saanichton Farm. Bryce Rashleigh and his team provide annual spring and fall ploughing services at the historic Newman Farm as part of our charity’s agricultural stewardship endeavours.

HydroTek Irrigation Systems.
Irrigation management is an instrumental part of ensuring the sustainability of our agricultural stewardship endeavours. Michael Myer and the HydroTek Irrigation Systems team assist the FLT Society in repairing, maintaining, and updating our irrigation line and watering systems at Newman Farm to support our fruit orchard, vegetable plots, raised garden beds, and national award-winning certified bee-friendly farming practices.
